FIELD OPERATOR / COMMAND DECK

Field Guide

HOW TO PREP, LEAD, AND BRING YOUR CREW HOME

Field Operator is a fictional command-deck game. You direct a small crew through a changing mission, read the map, choose support, and decide when it is time to extract.

01 / PREPARE

  1. Choose one of the available mission briefs. Each mission changes the objective, risks, and events you may encounter.
  2. Review the four-person crew and their readiness. Pick a deployable for the situation you expect to face.
  3. When the team and brief look right, choose Begin Insertion.

02 / INSERT AND LEAD

  1. Use Advance Beat to move time forward and reveal the next event. Read the comms log and field status before your next order.
  2. Use a deployable when the mission presents an opportunity. Each is limited, so choose the moment that best helps the crew.
  3. Select a point on the tactical map to record intel. Keyboard users can focus the map, move the cursor with arrow keys, and press Enter to mark a point.

03 / EXTRACT

Once the objective is reached, choose an extraction point on the map or call extraction directly. You can extract earlier to bring the crew out safely, but leaving before the objective is complete lowers the mission result.

04 / OPERATOR SCORE

Your Operator Score is the command record for the run. It responds to mission completion, crew condition, useful intel, and the decisions you make under pressure. A strong score reflects a capable crew brought home with the objective handled.

After the debrief, choose Relaunch Crew to reset the scenario and try a different approach.
